Dumfries Apps is owned by Peter Robertson, Born and bred in Dumfries, South West Scotland. Peter’s back ground is in Hotels and bar’s, buying his first in 1995, after 7 years of expansion Peter launched his own brands of alcoholic drinks.
Selling around Scotland, England and then Northern Ireland where he had great success with a drink called “Quickie”, however the recession of 2007 made Peter look at business differently. A more down to earth, a more common-sense approach to the way he worked. He knows how hard it is to earn a living, and even harder to build a business from nothing.
The idea of using online apps came in 2018 to promote his hotel, Peter started off using an app designed for the food take away sector www.Booze2you.co.uk . This was his first App for the Hotel/bar/off license. Realising that apps are not a “one fits all” system he started to design his own apps. With the outbreak of Covid 19, in 2019 Peter saw a gap in the market to provide apps designed with the help of people within each sector that requires an online presence, whether it be a grocers shop, Off licence, Hotel, restaurants, Function Venues, taxi’s the list is endless.
With this Dumfries Apps Ltd was created to provide a common sense approach to building apps for several types of sectors.
